To experience the entire festival, we encourage patrons to purchase a pass. Many benefits come with either the VIP or Festival pass, such as admission to all films and depending on your pass, access to special events, receptions and after parties. For more detailed information, please visit the Passes and Tickets page.
Yes, passes are limited. There are a total of 50 VIP and 50 Festival Passes. There are many benefits to purchasing a pass, so act quickly if you’d like one. For more detailed information about passes, please visit the Passes and Tickets page.
Your pass is transferable. If you cannot attend, you are welcome to share your pass with someone else. If you bring a guest, they will have to purchase an individual ticket at the Washington Pavilion Box Office for them to gain access to the film or event. It’s a great idea to buy a pass and share it with a friend if neither of you can attend all events together.
Vouchers are good for films beginning Friday night through Sunday as seating is available. They do NOT guarantee admission to a specific film, but your best opportunity for seating will be when films play in the Belbas Theater. Vouchers for films and film short programs are $10 and your purchase is non-refundable.
If you cannot attend a film or event, you are welcome to pass off your ticket. Whoever comes in your place must present the ticket prior to the film or event.
It is best to arrive early to claim a seat. Pass holders will be given access to the theater before general ticket holders. General admission begins at least 15 minutes or more prior to the film.
Yes. We have a number of filmmakers attending the 2011 Reel Dakota Film Festival. Be sure to stay for Q&As with the filmmakers after film showings. See the festival guide for more details. Impromptu attendance by special guests will announced through our social media sites and our web page.
Everyone with a pass or a ticket is welcome at the after parties, unless it is a separate ticketed event. For more information about ticketed events, please visit the Tickets and Passes page.
We will always welcome blue jeans on our red carpet. These are movies after all! But our opening night film and gala is definitely an opportunity to let your inner Hollywood glamour shine. The gala will be held on the Mary Sommervold Stage and promises to delight the casual filmgoer as well as the glitterati.
